IFI Democracy Meeting. October 4, 2004

Dear friends,

With Wolfensohn's term ending next year it is time to think about the next World Bank President, the person, the process for selecting that person-and much more broadly, how the World Bank and IMF are governed.  What are the current standards for democracy, especially vis-à-vis institutions such as the WB and IMF?

We have been thinking about this since June.  Let's step back share ideas, hopes and then strategies.

Date: Monday, October 4, 2004

Time: 4:30-6:00 P.M.

Location:  Economic Policy Institute Offices,  1660  L  Street, NW   #1200, Washington, DC   20036

Please RSVP to jbaker@new-rules.org if you plan on attending.
