Discussion of GATS and Financial Regulations with J.Trachtman, Tufts Law School

Professor Joel Trachtman of Tufts Law School will be in DC for the American Society of International Law meeting. He has agreed to meet with a group of New Rules Members to discuss GATS and Financial Services Regulations. This really will be a discussion, not a presentation.

Joel is a leading expert on GATS, having written background papers for the OECD on the subject. If you "google" his name you will access a large number of papers he has written on this subject.

This issue relates directly to our planned work on Capital Control and prudential regulations, asking how trade agreements restrict government options in these areas.
