Dear
Friends and Colleagues,
At this
month’s New Rules for Global Finance Meeting we will be having a one hour
business meeting followed by an open to the public discussion on the future
directions for the IMF. We have invited Ralph Bryant to join us for an hour
of conversation and discussion. Ralph, a fellow at Brookings, is a noted
macro-economist who has written extensively about the Fund.

This
conversation is designed to stimulate debate about a proposal made during
the March New Rules meeting where we considered an “IMF Reform” project,
such as an international conference to highlight progressive and alternative
proposals for reform of the IMF.
In
agreeing to meet with us on Wednesday, April 5, Ralph promised to provoke
and to ignite some sparks!
So do
plan on coming to a lively and enlightened conversation!
Our
business session will extend from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; Ralph will join us at
4:30.
We meet
at the Institute for Policy Studies Offices located at 1112 16th Street, NW,
Suite 600. (Farragut West on
the Orange Line and Farragut North on the Red Line)
See you
Wednesday!
