The IMF and the FSB:
Strategy workshop on the two Global Financial Rule-Makers
Organized as part of the Civil Society Policy Forum during the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings
World Bank, MC-C1-100
1818 H Street NW, Washington, DC
Saturday, September 24, 2011

This workshop continues the discussion of the Spring Meetings that linked the Financial Stability Board agenda with NGO advocacy on trade, debt, tax, and speculation (derivatives/Food-Fuel). With a review of what we have accomplished since April, we ask: how do we work together most effectively on the IMF and FSB to promote pro-poor, sustainable agendas in transparent, accountable, and inclusive institutions? We will discuss priorities for our focused work going forward.
A new website—FSB Watch—will be launched. www.fsbwatch.org
Discussants:
- Matthew Martin, Development Finance International
- Eric Le Compte, Jubilee Network, USA
- Per Kurowski, former World Bank ED, Venezuela
Chair:
- Jo Marie Griesgraber, New Rules for Global Finance
